EBS is always excited to have wedding season under way but this year we got to kick off our wedding season with a "first" for us...
I don't know about you all but I have a hard time keeping a secret from loved ones especially when it's exciting and joyful news! Jess and Chris had some very exciting news to share but had an even bigger plan for exactly how to share that with family and friends!
They booked The Loft at Great Road on Main for an engagement party; an intimate affair with their closest family and friends in attendance.
We spent months helping them plan, choose linens, flowers, food and music for the perfect party.
Friends and family gathered at the appointed time and DJ Rick Pruett kept the music going and guests enjoyed light hors d'ouvres as they waited for the party to begin. But they all wondered where in the world Jess and Chris were?!
DJ Rick queued the song "Going to the Chapel" and announced that Jess and Chris wanted to share their wedding date with everyone so all would hear the date at the same time and could plan accordingly! The date was that day, May 11, 2018, turning the engagement party into the actual wedding a reception! A friend was able to capture reactions around the room; a brief moment in time that they will treasure for a life time!
Immediately following the big reveal, "A Thousand Years" started playing and the processional began. Right before for chilling crescendo of the song, Jess rounded the corner to see her groom for the first time...yes, I said chilling because we get chills with perfect timing and a bride and groom seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day!
The ceremony was so sweet and when their minister (a family friend who came from Georgia to perform the ceremony) pronounced them husband and wife the room filled with cheers and applause. Pictures were taken, colorful thumb prints filled their guest book and an abundance of joy and love could be felt in the room. Jess and Chris shared a first dance and slice of cake in between mingling with their family and friends.
The evening ended perfectly with a sparkler send off for the newlyweds!
Thank you to our amazing team of vendors who helped make Jess and Chris’ day a beautiful success!
