Traci and Travis

A perfect day for Traci and Travis! Their ceremony and reception is a perfect example of how their vision became a reality with our small décor rental inventory and linens.

We worked with Traci from day 1 to develop her vision and to transform the vision that was in her head into reality. And, according to her, it was perfect which is really what we like to hear!

It was such a hot afternoon that we moved the ceremony (originally scheduled to be up at the Pylons at War Memorial at VT) inside the Chapel and everyone was SO glad that we made that call. With temps in the mid to high 90’s, we didn’t need Traci melting in that heat!

Surrounded by family and friends, and their special touches throughout, it was a fabulous day for everyone involved!

Congrats to the happy couple and thanks to all the vendors who helped make their perfect day possible!

Kimmie and Jake

What a perfect day Saturday for a wedding; course all our “wedding days” are perfect for our couples! And we just love seeing how each couple we work with makes their wedding day “their” wedding day. And this one was certainly no exception.

Kimmie is Filipino so they incorporated some Filipino customs throughout the day such as the “cord and veil” ceremony during their Mass. A special square veil is pinned to the bride’s hair and then draped over the groom’s shoulder and represents everything and everyone who will protect them, their home and their families. The cord is a long rosary in the shape of a figure 8 that goes over the veil and around the wedding couple’s shoulders and is a symbol of their intimate union and a sign of their bond to each other, and their inseparable unity.

Kimmie surprised Jake with golf carts to take the wedding party out and about VT’s campus for pictures after the ceremony and then on to the reception location. And we managed to pull off that surprise against some pretty amazing odds but we covered it all beautifully and a LOT of people were involved in that one to keep that surprise from him until the last minute! And it worked!

Then on to the cocktail hour and reception where everyone had a blast and danced the night away! Including one said wedding planner here and yep, I admit it! In addition, stations of amazing food, florals, cake, photo booth, yard games, and décor all combined to create the perfect evening for the happy couple!

Lindsey and Will

Lindsey and Will's "do-it-yourself" bohemian chic country rustic wedding was a hit with friends and family!

I always ask each of my couples what they love about the person they are about to marry and I get so many amazing responses. Lindsey and Will have a great love for all things outdoors and a great respect and love for each other that was evidenced in every aspect of their special wedding day.

Lindsey and Will have hiked many mountains in their time together so they took their love of all things outdoors and incorporated that into their bohemian chic country rustic-themed wedding at Braeloch!
For the ceremony, they combined soil from their places of residence into a pot that housed a special tree purchased for their new home which will serve as a reminder of their wedding day. During this part of the ceremony, the aunts and mother of the bride sang a song that was very special to her.

They truly wanted a hands-on, do-it-yourself wedding and accomplished this through the use of many items throughout their ceremony and reception. The guest tables featured hand-made wooden circles holding vintage bottles with dried hydrangea from their gardens last spring and the tables were names of mountains they have hiked. A photo book was available for guests to view with all their RSVPs which included hand-drawn pictures from their guests and everyone signed a tree print for them to hang in their home. A live band provided great dance tunes until their exit at midnight and kids enjoyed bags of activities throughout the evening.

The wind was a bit of a challenge for the outdoor ceremony but it was a beautiful day all the way around for Lindsey & Will and all their guests and Events by Sherri was honored to be a part of it.
